Hey there — I’m Josh, and I’m glad you’re here.
A few years ago, like everyone else, I found myself stuck at home. The world had hit pause.
Locked in, routines flipped upside down, and I kept asking myself: “What now?”
At the time, I had already spent over four years teaching around the world — from private lessons and group classes to full-on lectures. I’d taught everything from Scuba Diving to High School English. Teaching was in my blood.
But that’s also when I stumbled into programming.
No classroom. No roadmap. No formal training.
Just me, a laptop, and late nights Googling things like “what the heck is a for loop?” — and I was hooked.
Fast forward to today — I’ve taught myself how to code, worked in tech, and for the last four years, I’ve been teaching Python full-time at an international school and beyond.
And that’s how The Nerd Nook was born — a space to teach Python the way I wish someone had taught it to me: clearly, practically, and in a way that actually sticks.
The Mission
Most people learn Python in bits and pieces — a random YouTube video here, a half-baked tutorial there. But that scattered tutorial hell approach doesn’t work.
I wanted to fix that. I needed to fix that.
